CHILE, rcl. Recently a wayside shrine for the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt was blessed in Villa Alemana, "city of sunshine and windmills", an area close to Valparaíso.

In October when the worldwide three years of intensive preparation for Schoenstatt's 100th anniversary will begin, Fathers Klaus Alender and Andreas Hornung will travel back to the Philippines for the second time this year in collaboration with the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, who have been there for a while now. They are creating a new Schoenstatt domain with priests, seminarians, and young men in the process of finding their vocation. They are walking in the footsteps of Father Kentenich, while he was creating the Schoenstatt Fathers in the beginning of Schoenstatt - in the footsteps of legwork, individual visits, and infinite trust and confidence.

Only seven weeks remain for the opening of the triennial in preparation for the year 2014: October 18th, from all Shrines in the world, from all Wayside Shrines, from all Home Shrines, from the Shrines of the Work of the Schoenstatt Family, will begin the great pilgrimage to the Original Shrine where "with joy and humility the Schoenstatt Family will gather from every nation, community and generation to renew their covenant of love, "the essence of our family", "the source of our fruitfulness and the concrete way in which we live and follow Christ." (Message 2014) This "Covenant of Love 2014" is missionary and international. It forms an international missionary family and creates a covenant culture around the shrines in nothing without you, nothing without us.".

mkf. It was already nightfall when the "pilgrims of the Shrine" returned from the renewal of the Covenant of Love in the Original Shrine, on August 18th, 48 18ths to October 18, 2014. Like every 18th, those who were privileged to be physically present in Schoenstatt united spiritually with all the allies in Shrines, wayside shrines and home shrines of the world.

mkf. Sunday, August 29, four Nigerian seminarians of the Schoenstatt Fathers will arrive in Schoenstatt, where they will be ordained deacons a week later, on Sunday, 5th of September 2010.

mkf. Though the night was short, yet everyone came for the Sending forth Mass on Sunday morning that ended the Night of the Shrine. The main celebrant was Father Norbert Becker who himself was head of the preparation team a few years ago.

mkf. He arrived on Friday evening at the beginning of the Night of the Shrine and placed himself along with his wife in between the youth: Torsten Hartung: reformed head of a car stealing gang that sold them on the black market, convicted murderer, ex-convict, touched personally by God and brought to faith… He had told his story at the 'Celebration of faith' in Dietershausen last year, and now he had come to Schönstatt and the Night of the Shrine to tell his story in front of hundreds of teenagers that no life could ever be too broken or too ruined that God cannot bring out great things, vocation, or happiness from it.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, Sr. Marissel. The Schoenstatt Girl's Youth joyfully held its national celebration on August 15th. The main reason for the celebration was to announce the ideal, the flag and the hymn, which will identify them as Girl's Youth of the Dominican Republic.
